Frequently Asked Questions
What is Alli?
Alli is a professional brain coaching platform that helps people who want to make lasting changes in their thoughts, emotions, or behavior get unstuck or grow stronger to become their best self.
Is Alli Self-Help?
While there are portions of Alli’s platform that you can access by yourself, our platform is not a do-it-yourself solution. Rather, we combine helpful resources with community support groups and expert-led brain coaching, because our research and expertise in neuroscience reveals that true growth and fulfillment is found through strong, healthy relationships.
Does Alli Replace Therapy?
While Alli’s founders also run two successful therapy practices, Alli is not therapy. We provide expert brain coaching and support groups to help you grow in the areas you choose, but this program is not designed to diagnose or treat serious mental health conditions.
With Alli, you don’t need to go to a therapist to care for many of the areas you want to change. We made the knowledge of cutting-edge brain science understandable and actionable, all within a change-supportive community.
Why Did You Start Alli?
We have made tremendous advances in what we know about the brain, how it affects our functioning, and what it needs to function optimally. Unfortunately, most of this knowledge has been tightly held by doctors and researchers and not made available to the public in ways they can use it.
The Alli team have been putting these advances into action as therapists for over 25 years. We have helped hundreds of people. We’ve guided them through retraining and nourishing their brains, resulting in deep and lasting changes for individuals, parents, or couples.
Who Can Benefit from Alli?
Alli helps people who want to change or are fed up and tired of repeating the same negative cycles in their lives. Whether it’s unceasing anxiety, addictive behaviors, harmful or ineffective parenting, instability in their marriage, or aimless nutrition, Alli helps people identify the root causes – what’s happening in their brain – and take actionable, proven steps to get lasting results.
